What F0 means on your Dacor range (dacor range f0)
Dacor range f0 is a Legacy Dacor (pre-2016) code shared across the Classic ERC platform, which Dacor’s own Tec-Line document lists across both wall ovens and the PGR, RSE, RSG, RSD, ERD, ERDE, MRE, MRES, EGR and ERG range models. The ERC continuously scans the range’s control panel for pressed keys, and F0 means that scan found an input line shorted or held closed rather than briefly pressed. On a range the control panel sits above the cooktop rather than beside a single cavity, so grease, boil-over residue and steam from nearby burners are a more common trigger here than on a standalone wall oven. This is a control-input problem rather than a heating problem, so the range’s burners may still respond even while F0 blocks the oven side of the panel.
Symptoms
A Dacor range in this condition usually shows some combination of the following, so match them against your own range before booking.
- The display shows F0 and the control panel stops accepting further oven key presses.
- One key or zone on the panel feels like it is permanently engaged even without a finger on it.
- The range beeps on its own without anyone touching the panel.
- The cooktop burners and knobs may continue to work normally while F0 affects only the oven side of the panel.
- F0 often follows a boil-over that has run down onto the control panel from a rear burner.
Common causes
What produces F0 on a Dacor range is not always the component people assume, which is why the range causes below run from most to least likely.
- Shorted keypad wiring — a wire between the control panel and the ERC is pinched or corroded and holds an input line low.
- Failed membrane switch — one location in the panel’s membrane film has degraded and reads as continuously pressed.
- Boil-over or grease intrusion — liquid or grease from cooktop use has worked behind the panel and is bridging contacts.
- Loose ribbon connector — the connection between the panel and the ERC has partially backed out.
- ERC input-scanning problem — less commonly, the board itself is misreading an otherwise healthy panel.
Troubleshooting steps you can try
An owner can safely attempt everything below on a range, and everything beyond it on a Dacor range is a technician’s job, with no shame in stopping early.
- Cut power at the breaker for a full minute and restore it to see whether F0 clears on its own.
- Wipe the control panel and the seam near the cooktop dry, checking for any grease or boil-over residue.
- Press each oven-side key lightly and note whether one location feels different (spongy, stuck, unresponsive) from the rest.
- Keep cooktop boil-overs wiped up promptly, since liquid tracking toward the panel is a common trigger on ranges specifically.
- If F0 returns after a clean power cycle, treat it as a wiring or membrane failure rather than a one-time nuisance.

Expect the control panel keypad membrane, membrane switch wiring, and electronic range control board to be checked on your Dacor range. Replacing more of a range than the problem requires is how a small range repair becomes an expensive one, so the failed part is confirmed first.
